This May, the Taxi Charity would have been taking WWII veterans to 75th anniversary commemorations of the Dutch Liberation in the Netherlands and VE Day celebrations in London. Sadly, these events had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions, so we arranged for a special gift commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day to be delivered to over 120 WWII veterans.

Volunteer drivers from the Taxi Charity delivered more goodie bags to naval veterans in and around London today. The goodie bags - kindly donated by the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity - contained cheese, crackers, chutney, biscuits, marmalade, tea bags, coffee, chocolate and a small bottle of booze!

The jump was postponed from the original date of 1 May due to low cloud and high winds, resulting in a ten-week delay.
