Dean was born in 1967 and has been a London taxi driver since 1994.
He was initially introduced to the charity by friends who already volunteered and became a volunteer himself in 2017. His first trip took him to Normandy for the D-Day commemorations, and he has been back to Normandy many times, as well as to the Netherlands for Dutch Liberation and the Wandeltocht Airborne March.
He is proud to have been a Taxi Charity committee member since September 2022 and is responsible for health and safety.
Dean says that volunteering for the charity is very rewarding, and it feels like being part of one big family.
Dean has two children and a granddaughter. Outside of work, his hobbies are photography, sport and architecture.
