Local businesses go the extra mile for our veterans
We are often overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses and the kindness they show to our veterans, volunteers and drivers. Two recent donations from businesses in Erith are wonderful examples of how these thoughtful gestures mean so much to our charity family.
A wreath with special meaning

A heartfelt thank you to Sarah at Buds of May Florist in Erith, who generously donated a beautiful wreath for our trustees, Linda and Paul, to lay at Frinton Memorial.
The wreath will be laid in honour of The Cameronians, Don Turrell’s Regiment, his family and his much-loved Taxi Charity.
The donation is particularly meaningful because both of Sarah’s grandfathers served in the Army during the Second World War.
We are very grateful to Sarah for her generosity and for helping us pay tribute to those who served.
A sweet treat for the journey

We would also like to thank Deb at Crumbs Bakery in Erith for donating delicious bread pudding for Linda and Paul to take with them on their journey to Zeeland in the Netherlands. The homemade treats were enjoyed by the three veterans, volunteers and drivers travelling together on the trip.
These donations are about so much more than a wreath or a welcome treat. They reflect the community spirit and thoughtfulness that help make our work so special.
To Sarah, Deb and all the local businesses that support us in so many ways, thank you for being part of the Taxi Charity family. Your kindness means the world to us and our veterans.
