The Taxi Charity was delighted to receive a wonderful letter of thanks from Kim Heung-chong, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Kingdom. Volunteer drivers from the charity had helped transport veterans of the Korean War and their families to a wreath-laying service at the Korean War Memorial to mark the 76th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.

Dear Mr Goodwin,

On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the outstanding support of the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans provided during our recent event on 26th June 2026.

The Taxi Charity's assistance with transporting the veterans of the Korean War and their families played an invaluable role in the success of the event. We greatly appreciated the care and consideration shown to our veterans and their families, ensuring they were able to travel comfortably and safely to the reception venue.

Despite the exceptionally hot weather conditions, in particular, you remained professional, efficient, and attentive on that day. Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for your commitment and dedication to our event. The contribution made by you and the taxi drivers had a meaningful impact on the experience of our veterans and their families.

Once again, thank you for your exceptional support.

I wish you and everyone at the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans continued good health, happiness, and success.

Yours sincerely,

Kim Heung-chong

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Kingdom
