Brigadier Alastair Bruce attends Taxi Charity Christmas Lunch


The Taxi Charity is delighted to announce that Brigadier Alastair Bruce KStJ OBE VR DL is to extend his role as an ambassador for the charity for a further four years.

Alastair recently attended the Taxi Charity veterans Christmas lunch at Millwall FC and publicly thanked the charity for inviting him to be an ambassador.

Alastair is a British journalist and television correspondent, and is currently the Royal, Religious and National Events Commentator for Sky News.

He has also worked for the BBC and is a historical adviser for several feature films as well as the much loved TV series, Downton Abbey.

Alastair joined the British Army in 1979. In 1980, he gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion of the Scots Guards. He was a regular officer for four years, and saw active service in the Falklands War in 1982.

Bruce is a reservist, serving as an Army Reserve Brigadier, Deputy Commander of 3rd Division (United Kingdom) and Colonel of the London Scottish Regiment.
