Save Our Black Taxis undertakes charity walk for the Taxi Charity

Charitable organisation and pressure group, Save Our Black Taxis, undertook a charity walk on 28 November 2015 to raise money for the Taxi Charity and The London Taxi Drivers Fund For Underprivileged Children.

The group, made up of cabbie's wives, partners and families, gave up their Saturday afternoon to do the ten mile walk, setting off from Paddington station, heading to Victoria, then onto Waterloo and finishing up at King's Cross station.

Save Our Black Taxis originated as a Facebook Group in May 2015 when frustrated by the lack of regulation by Transport for London (TFL), cabbie's wife Artemis Mercer felt she needed a way to voice her concerns among other taxi families. The Facebook Group has now grown to over 14,000 members and their Twitter account has over 5,600 followers.

The Taxi Charity would like to thank everyone who took part on the sponsored walk to raise money for our veterans.
