Would your school, club or society like to hear about the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans?

The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans has a remarkable history stretching back to 1948, when London’s licensed taxi drivers first came together to support veterans. Today, our volunteer drivers continue that tradition, providing memorable trips, events and experiences for veterans from across the generations.

Our volunteers can talk about how the charity began, the role London’s black cab drivers have played in supporting veterans over the decades, and the many trips and events we organise today. They can also share some of the fascinating and often moving stories of the veterans they have had the privilege of meeting and supporting.

A Taxi Charity talk is a great way to learn more about the charity, hear first-hand stories and discover how a group of London taxi drivers has been making a difference to military veterans for more than 75 years.

Talks are offered subject to volunteer availability and there is a £50 booking fee, payable in advance.

We may receive requests from schools and groups further afield than our volunteers can easily travel to, but we will always assess these requests on a case-by-case basis to see if we can help.

We are also looking for volunteers who would enjoy representing the Taxi Charity by giving talks to schools, clubs, societies and community groups in their area.
