2023 is the Taxi Charity's 75th anniversary and following on from our successful trip to Normandy for the D-Day commemorations, the charity will make its much-loved trip to the coast on the 4 July.

Veterans from conflicts including WWII and Korea will join volunteer London cab drivers and invited guests in the Pavilion Rooms in Worthing.

Over 50 volunteer cab drivers will pick up veterans from across London and the southeast and rendezvous from 9am in South Holmwood, Surrey to enjoy refreshments prepared by village residents.

At 11am, the cabs will drive in convoy down the A24 toward Worthing.

The cabs are expected to arrive on the promenade at midday.

Lunch will be held in the Pavilion Rooms and the guest speaker will be 102-year-old Mosquito Pilot Flt Lt (Retd) Colin Bell DFC. Also attending will be the charity's patrons, Vice-Admiral Sir Adrian Johns, KCB, CBE, KStJ, DL and Lady (Suzie) Johns.
