Taxi Charity attends Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow

On 15 August, the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans was honoured to be invited to Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow for what was truly an unforgettable day.
Our veterans had an incredible time and were welcomed with such warmth, kindness and appreciation by everyone they met. Wherever they went, they were treated like the stars of the show, with members of the public stopping to thank them, speak with them and show their appreciation for their service to our country.
The warm welcome did not stop there. Our veterans were also greeted with open arms by fellow veterans and serving personnel, sharing stories, experiences and plenty of laughter throughout the day.
One particularly special moment was the opportunity to step inside a mock-up Chinook helicopter and speak with a Chinook pilot. It was a wonderful chance to share experiences and memories, creating yet another memorable moment during an already fantastic day.
World War II veteran, Paul Terry, summed up the day perfectly when he told us that, while he had loved every part of the experience, spending the day with his Taxi Charity family had truly made his day.
With spectacular flying displays, so much to see and do, and wonderful company throughout, the day was filled with smiles, laughter and memories that will stay with us for a long time to come.
Days like these are only possible because of the incredible generosity and support we receive. Every donation helps us create special experiences and unforgettable moments for the veterans we are so proud to support - and the smiles on their faces say it all.
