We are incredibly proud to share that a six-year-old called Alfred has achieved something truly remarkable in his recent fundraising challenge to walk 100 miles. What began as a modest fundraising target of £250 has grown into an inspiring success story raising an incredible £4,435 to support our work with veterans.

Alfred travelled to the Netherlands to finish his epic challenge in the Wandeltocht where thousands walk distances of up to 40km to honour and support veterans who liberated their country during WWII.

In a moving finale to his challenge, he walked the final mile in front of the very veterans he set out to support - a moment filled with pride, respect and emotion.

What makes Alfred’s achievement even more inspiring is not just the distance he walked, swam and cycled but the purpose behind every step. His dedication, humility and determination have sparked generosity far beyond expectations, with supporters rallying behind his cause to help make a lasting difference.

To everyone who supported Alfred by donating, sharing his story or sending messages of encouragement, thank you. Your kindness has helped transform an initial goal of £250 into thousands of pounds that will go directly towards improving the lives of veterans.
