There was a time when the Dutch were invaded and occupied. But in their spirit they never gave up. Later the British came to set them free. They met many obstacles and took casualties but of them it can also be said they never gave up.
So now seventy years later they can all meet again raise a glass to those far-gone days and say with pride “We never gave up”. There should also be a tribute to the taxi drivers who are giving up time and treasure to take them there!
