Dame Vera Lynn honours taxi drivers' charity in Worthing
NATIONAL treasure Dame Vera Lynn paid tribute to a charity for the war disabled, in Worthing today (Tuesday, June 16).
Dame Vera was joined by actress Joanna Lumley for the unveiling of a painting by Rosa Branson to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the London Taxi Benevolent Association for the War Disabled.
More than 400 war disabled veterans were brought down to Worthing today by a fleet of London taxis.
