A Shooters Hill World War Two veteran is fundraising for a taxi charity that arranges free outings for ex-soldiers.
Geoffrey Pattinson, 92, who served in the 9th Parachute Battalion, regularly collects for the London Taxi Benevolent Association for War Disabled, a charity run by London cab drivers who take injured ex-soldiers on trips.
Mr Pattinson was awarded the Legion d’Honneur, the highest decoration in France, for his part in the liberation of the country.
He said:
