Richard Iles

Richard Iles has a deep passion for military history, with a particular interest in World War II. He first met the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans during the D-Day commemorations in Normandy in 2019 and was profoundly moved by the charity’s work supporting veterans.

 

Inspired to make a difference, Richard created a spectacular Christmas lights display at his home in Winterbourne Down, raising over £15,000 for the charity in 2024.

 

Building on that success, his 2025 display has grown even bigger and more dazzling, featuring over 300,000 lights and a snow machine for extra festive magic.

 

Through his dedication and creativity, Richard continues to raise awareness and vital funds for the Taxi Charity, bringing joy to the local community while supporting those who have served.

 

He was delighted to become an ambassador in December 2025.
