Abbie is a paramedic with the London Ambulance Service and uses her holiday days to support the Taxi Charity as part of its medical team on trips to the Netherlands and Normandy, as well as for trips across the UK.

Abbie first joined the charity on a trip in September 2021 to the Netherlands and has been an important part of the charity’s team ever since.

 

Abbie was asked to become an ambassador in October 2024 and said:

 

"I had always wanted to support a charity and when I was asked to help the Taxi Charity, I had no hesitation in saying yes. I love history and having the opportunity to meet the men and women who served in WWII and other conflicts has made the things I learnt at school come alive. I enjoy spending time with the veterans, volunteers and drivers, and helping. It is a pleasure to join the charity at events and to have been asked to become an ambassador has made me so very proud."
